Hillary Clinton concluded her six-nation African tour in Eritrea on Saturday (29/3), meeting women who had fought in the country's 30-year struggle for independence from Ethiopia. America's First Lady had said she wanted to end her tour in Africa's "new country".
Arriving in the capital, Asmara, on Saturday morning (29/3), Clinton and her daughter Chelsea paid their respects to the war dead at the "martyrs' cemetery". The US president's wife later went to the village of Embadorho just north of the capital where she inaugurated a clinic built with aid from the non-governmental organisation, Grassroots
International. The villagers greeted her with traditional dances.
