First Stage: Eritrean Cyclists win 1st & 3rd of Tour du Faso
Bereket Merhawi Yemane (left cyclist) wins the first stage of Tour du Faso in Burkina Faso
Eritrean riders dominated the first stage of the 28th edition of the Tour du Faso on Friday in Burkina Faso.
Eritreans Bereket Merhawi Yemane and Jonathan Haile won first and third places respectively, while the Moroccan Mohamed Er Rafai took second.
In all, 5 of the top 10 places were won by Eritreans, while Moroccans had 4 of its riders placing in the top 10.
Second stage will be held on Saturday between the cities of Yako and Ziniare (148 km).
