Eritrea launched prefeasibility study to rebuild & build railway from Massawa to Sudan

According to Samsom Berhane, who works in the Ministry of National Development, Eritrea has launched prefeasibility study to rebuild & build railway from Massawa to Sudan.
The aim of the project is to connect the port city of Massawa through the highland with Gash-barka & with Kassala in Sudan where it will further connect with existing Sudanese lines.
If completed, the project will have a significant impact on the transport of goods and people between both countries.
