Tourist Spotted Yemen's Deposed President Hadi in Asmara

A American tourist was in Eritrea few days ago and he ran into Yemen deposed president Hadi at the Asmara Palace hotel.
Government of Eritrea can play a major role in bringing the two sides to a negotiation agreement.
The diplomatic traction over the past few weeks gives government of Eritrea momentum to play host to possible peace talks between Saudi backed Hadi and the Houthis.
Eritrea in the past has successfully mediated peace deal between east Sudan and central government of Sudan and in 2006 hosted a pan-Somali conference in order to help Somalis solve their own internal matters.
Government of Eritrea track record in meditation is clear and the main goal is always regional stability.
"So, as I was getting ready to leave on my daytrip, there was a huge security entourage pulling up to the Asmara Palace and hustling someone very important looking in…and when I saw the flag on the car it just confirmed it: it was semi-deposed President of Yemen Hadi!"

ReplyDeleteThis isn't the first time that Eritrea is playing active role in the Yemeni crisis. The recent not so publicised visit of PIA to Saudi Arabia has a lot of the Eritrean diplomatic finger prints all over it. Eritrea doesn't believe in megaphone and gun boat diplomacy and is quietly working to solve the Yemeni crisis with out to much fanfare n hoopla. The Yemenis should follow Eritrea's advice and solve their problems by themselves without to much external pressure and interference.

He is a proud towering intellectual, comfortable in his own skin and can easily be comfortable and be at home in any African or Arab nation -an important asset in his shuttle diplomacy skills.
For the minority of a minority Ethiopian brutal and ruthless Tribal Junta, this is another diplomatic slap on their faces. Our diplomatic offensive is paying tangible dividends and we should keep the momentum going.
PIA & Co. has a proven record on peace mediation between two parties. Who else would you ask, if any two parties are genuinely interested to solving their deadly friction. Other East Africans are either incapable or unfit due to their western slave mentality.
