Daring the Sea for Life
Daring the Sea for Life
For life, in unknown Places
Strange places
Uncertain but, seemingly and wishfully better places
Yet, I am drawn to it
As if mine
As if mom and dad laid a place for me
Hopeful to get welcoming embrace
Food, clothing, bedding, comfort or, at least decent leaving space
Unfazed by my ignorance,
Unware of my ignorance
Uncertain of my destiny but certain of my will to leave
Pushed by circumstance or agitators
Naïve, and unaware of the naiveté to my detriment
Yet I trek,
I trek on the desert,
I trek through unfamiliar wilderness of life
I trek through unfamiliar-unknown places
I trek-through as-a-stranger to-strangers
Trekking with hopes of landing on these better places
No guarantees, no assurances
Yet I Trek
I trek to stare the sea, dare the sea
I stare and stare at stormy clouds
I stare as far I can into the hollow distance beyond my reach
I stare into darkness and hollow spaces
I stare to dare the motion, the waves, and stormy oceanic waves
I stare to dare the rain and thunderstorms
I stare
And I dare
To step bravely
To sail away
I sail away

Very sad indeed! Loosing your dears who have better future perished for nothing. To raise these youth from the day one was not really easy. How heart breaking is to see humanes over the sea! Get scared for those who are still at home. A lot of awareness should be done both at home and abroad.
ReplyDeleteThis is just sad.-- Like they say-- U don't miss the water. Til the well runs dry. Don't miss the living til they die.. and so the good things that u have at ur home, u don't appreciate it, till it disappear from ur eyes. cause u never know What u got Until it's gone away. pple they just don't see the danger that is in-front of them, they only see thru it. only they will learn wen they see the bad things with their own eyes, and thats the sad part. but the selfish thing to do is not telling the danger u saw. if u didn't tell pple to be vigilant, to learn from ur mistakes. u will never have peace. ዘይጋገ ሰብ የለን። እቲ ጽቡቅ ግን፡ ካብ ጌካኻ ምምሃር ኢዩ፡ ዝበለጸ።
ReplyDeleteI somtimes think that if there is something say a robot which helps to move everyone here and see the difference. I saw yesterday Asians from Bangladesh also moving like a mushroom by human traffikers. I really wonder what is going on. The world's richest people are becoming rich from time to time and much bigger number are becoming poorer and poorer. One reason could be machine are replacing human work thus high poverty level is inevitable. In our case as a new country there are a lot of promising advancement. If the economy status improved and the limitation of national service officially announced the movement would be deterred, I guess. As y said value of appreciation should be exercised so this has to be tackled. I have seen in one of the Eri tV program diaspora's interviwed. I remember one of the interviwee said the first thing they did was they brought us food. We told them he said that we need to work. Many don't know that scarcity of jobs are a big problem to the natives too. There is a system of assistance to those who have no jobb but these sometimes are abused and had crippled human brain and kill the working appetite to go back home and work so many are not willing to tell the truth but there are also many people who don't want to listen.
ReplyDeleteIndeed bro. We have to educate people thru our Social Media, and show them the danger that will await them.
ReplyDeleteAbout that machine part.....
Instead of building sophisticated machines that can be controlled by humans, they are building them to work without. and this will throw the liven of society towards chaos. cuz poverty is a scary thing. pple have to oppose this ideas b4 its to late. bcuz its only gonna make the rich-richer and the poor-poorer.
Pple thinks its cool now, but tomorrow it will not, wen they get replaced.
