Teseney: 24 Hours supply of Electricity

Teseney now has 24 hour power supply

Teseney: 24 Hours supply of Electricity

By Kesete Ghebrehiwet,

Teseney has been referred as a hub of agricultural and trade activities. There is a vivid movement of people and goods in all workdays. Such activities would be by far increased with an increase in the supply of electricity. Teseny has now become beneficiary of a 24 hours electricity supply. All service providers that are public or private ones would continue to give efficient service confidently without any interruption of electricity supply. Teseney has now become a bright city even during the night time.

There is no doubt that the nonstop supply of electricity would positively impact different sectors and particularly different suppliers and service giver institutions.

There is no activity that would not be positively affected by the newly installed generators. The inhabitants of Teseney have now started to express their appreciation. Among the inhabitants, Mr. Sium Tesfaendrias, who earns his living as a farmer said “We are very delighted by the new supply of electricity.”

Mr. Sium went on to say that since a number of people have begun to choose Teseney as a center of agriculture and trade and more importantly as a good place to live in, its overall population has gradually been growing.

Mr. Sium went on to say that they are grateful that the Government has understood the semi-arid climatic condition of the area and provided them with an uninterrupted supply of electricity that could be used for cooling systems and refrigerators.

There is a common idea that is shared among the inhabitants of Teseney. “We will all have services of all types for 24 hours owing to the continuous supply of electricity.” All those asked what really would they get benefited from the nonstop supply of electricity reiterated that no service would be interrupted due to deficit of electricity supply. Mr. Sium has, for instance, said “We are ready to give service of any kind. We have already equipped an internet café with all needed furniture and we are looking ahead to give service as soon as possible. The city has been lively, but it has now gained more life.”

Another inhabitant of Teseney, Mr. Angesom Weldemariam has been in business activity. This youth is owner of a café. “Electricity is life.” He Said “A number of employment opportunities would be opened. If I am personally to speak what I get benefited from such an interrupted supply, I could say we could give better service if we are provided with such supply.”

Owing to this new supply of electricity, there would be a reduction in the price of a number of consumer goods is what collectively Mr. Angesom said as regards the overall impact of the service that has been provided.

Mr. Salih Hamd Hadgembes, a farmer, also said “This is a new life and we hope the service would be sustainable”

This time, a number of bakeries, wood and metal work centers, hotels, all service giving institutions have started to operate up to their level best potential.

The livelihood of the semiarid area is mainly dependent of electric supply. All sorts of work activities have now been awakened anew. All activities that have been carried in the agricultural also economic hub would be extensively enhanced and thus is expected to impact the national economy. Teseney has proven to be an economic hub where substantial effort of the Government has been exerted.

  4. hamid ali,

You want to be "free" and then become part of the Woyane kingdom?. Just dream on.
That is exactly what the Woyanes are planning, weakening Eritrea as much as they can, thanks to the incompetent president of ours this plan seems to be progressing well, just imagine 5000 of our future are leaving the country every month. The second plan of Woyane is to setup a puppet government in Eritrea, which will implement the same constitution as theirs
"recognition of the right of nations, nationalities, and peoples to secession" as they put it nicely. With that in place they will encourage corrupt people like you hamid ali to go for referendum
and be independent Afar state. After independence again with corrupt people like you, Afar people will "freely join their brothers" in Ethiopia and Woyane will get access to sea (Asseb) without breaking international law.

To avoid this, we real Eritrean regardless of ethnicity or religion need to get rid of this mafia regime in our land and put in place a leaders (no one man rule anymore) who can lead us to progress and better future.

  7. Funny.
Even Asmara doesn't have 24 hrs electricity.

    ReplyDelete
  8. You really are funny. Countryside was damaged more in the war and more in need of redevelopment and the whole lot then Asmara does. Asmara has almost everything but just need an upgrade and a face lift and that is it. Don't be so stupid, just because Asmara has little glitches here and there, that does not mean anything.

  10. ali,

Free to do what? Dont be a fool. separation is nothing with out freedom. what you need is to be free from repression and separating from Eritrea will not guarantee you your rights. Dont focus on the symptom focus on the underlining issue. Instead of wasting your time to create a new nation you should struggle to from a better Eritrea for all. Where everyones has a voice and everyone abides by a rule of law including the govt.

  11. Sam,
I can't agree more. The older generation with their archaic beliefs are the root cause of Africa's doom. I dont know how they expect something different by thinking and doing as they did 50 years a go.

  15. If these is true, no wonder that General Teklay Majus and the other high ranking offical smugglers and contraband dealers prefere 24/7 electricity in Teseney than Asmara, Teseney is where most smuggling/controband deals are done with the good knowledge of the regim. Or could it be that the writter is talking about electricity of Kassala which he saw standing in Teseney :).

  16. What has this to do with Tesseney? That tells a lot about you Agames not knowing where the Red Sea is. As to been free from Eritrea, no body wanted you at all. You just crave to be Eritrean, like an ectoparasite who never leaves the cloths until you boil it or wash it with colorox. I guess that is what we need to do now. Wash Eritrea off of you Weyanes and seal off the borders with triple fence, period!

  25. I have heard so many lies been told by the regime the past decades and i don´t trust them anymore. The same regime told us a constitution will be implemented, and 6 months has passed and no news of any action taken or any progress. The funny part is the same regime officials used to tell us most part of the constitution is already implemented until the day the announcement came form the dictator himself, telling constitution will be implemented. So how can i believe this kind of people? If you have right mind listen from 17.00 in the attached video, where Monkey lies and tell us we already have constitution.

  28. My goodness. What a moron! News of non interrupted electricity (assuming it is true and sustainable) 24 years after independence is worth of a pride? I wonder what your measure of pride might be, if any.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This is exactly what worries me most and I always try to reason with the zombie followers that we are heading in this direction and it is our collective responsibility to avoid this demise. But they don't listen. Seriously it bothers me why they don't see this quagmire the pfdj leadership is putting us into. For them pfdj is saint and never makes a mistake and is uniquely the best leadership that is irreplacable and this is the heart of the matter for our demise.

  30. Our future is BRIGHT and SHINNING !
No place for hideouts. This is just a start :)

  31. Measure of pride, begins with the time proven maxim of the very wise:

"The one who is thankful for anything he has and remains content for being himself, embodied with the habit of showing gratitude for the services obtained cherishes and enjoy life more."

  32. Typical reaction of the reactionaries. Within few months, when more 'good news' from the Halal Meriet is going to flood the reliable web-sites, you'll have no option but sob with anger shedding blood tears.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Actually, the only moron is you (Measure of Pride).

Eritrea, after a little over two decades of independence, is ahead of most of its neighbors when it comes to providing electricity to its citizens (see picture below).

According to the World Bank: Percentage of population with access to electricity - Eritrea (32%), Ethiopia (17%), Kenya (16%), Uganda (9%), Sudan (36%)

  34. We have been waiting for decades, so why not wait few more months more...........we have heard this all the time and is nothing new. HGDEF officials contradiction and empty promises all well known. Listen to this summary of empty promises by SBS.

  36. Friend, its the other way around; we say those who work are bound to make mistakes, and we continue to correct learn and move on to the next task. The likes of you however think PFDJ is God; i agree but not quite, just God like. So get it in your lil head throu your big mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  37. That is the point moron! Asmara has no economic significance to have an uninterapted electricity supply!!! All the agricultural activities are in and around Teseney.

    ReplyDelete
  38. 32%OF 6 MILLION PEOPLE IS HOW MUCH IDIOT?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think they are planning to move the capital to Tesseney :)
we don't have electricity in Asmara but heyy teseney is the star :) what a funny regime. This kind of news makes happy the gullible PFDJ puppets who live in the west and the cadres who thrive from regime lies. The reality in the ground is totally different. I would advice all the puppets to call Asmara to verify.

  42. A short and concise analysis of z matter. Thank q.

  43. Fedup - you're the only person I've yet to see post something that is smart. That is EXACTLY what Ethiopia is cooking for Eritrea. There's a mass exudus of Eritreans leaving the country. Sooner than later the regime will collapse and possibly (and I hope to God not) civil war may insue. But if reason were to get hold of the people they will agree into transforming Eritrea into a ethnic Federation. The Afars will join their brethren in proper Afar in Ethiopia, the Saho, Kunama and Nara will get their own states and the rest of the 5 ethnic groups will create Northern Nations and Nationalities State (NNNPS) with Keren as it's capital. The NNNPS will then create a Con-Federation arrangement with Ethiopia, where Ethiopia will be in charge of Defense, Finance and Foreign Policy but otherwise NNNPS would independently run and administer its affairs including internal security. Citizens of NNNPS will be Confederate citizens. They will have the freedom of movement, work and live anywhere in Ethiopia but can only vote in NNNPS adn Federal elections. They will not be allowed to run for local offices outside of NNNPS and they will not be allowed to work in Federal institutions such and the military, Ethiopian Airlines, Shipping Lines, Railways, etc., or any entity federally funded. They will not be allowed to serve in the military or security forces. But will be free to start businesses, work and live anywhere in Ethiopia with all their civil rights fully protected. - Mark my words.
