Construction of the 20 million cubic meter Tekera Dam is in full swing, according to a recent video uploaded to a social media site.
When completed, the dam will supply water to Asmara.
Since independence, Eritrea has built more than 300 agriculture and water reservoir dams to ensure food security and alleviate potable water shortages.

Dedeb! It will alliviate the water shortage Asmara has an existin water supply. But even it supplies one household that is still one.Eritrean.family better of, thats how we think dumb ass! ReplyDeleteIn the course of time sand/mud/clay deposits may reach a certain level to diminish the volume of water in the dam but those deposits can be periodically removed mechanically (heavy equipment).
Your 'life span' bogus can happen elsewhere but never in Eritrea, at least, as long as there are continuous rainfalls.
