Eritrea's Natnael Berhane Wins Tropicale Amissa Bongo
Eritrean cyclist Natnael Berhane won the 9th annual Tropicale Amissa Bongo in Gabon after a strong performance in the final stage, making him the first African cyclist to win the tournament.
Since its first launch in 2006, the tournament has been won six times by France and once by Finland.
The race attracts 45 countries, among them Gabon, France, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Rwanda, Belgium, Italy, America, Canada , Russia , Finland and Sweden.

Natnael, who recently turned 23 on January 5, was signed by the French Team Europcar as a huge prospect for the future after stunning victories in Tour of Algeria, the African championships and a number of strong results in U23 races in Europe.
