Eritrea's Daniel Teklehaimanot wins ITT in Egypt
Eritrea's Daniel Teklehaimanot wins first place in the Individual Time Trials at the African Cycling Championships, which are taking place in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt.
Daniel completed the 42-kilometer course in 54:30 minutes 32 seconds ahead of South African riders Willie Smit and Johannes Christoffel Nel, who took silver and bronze, respectively.
The 25-year-old Eritrean cyclist continues to dominant African cycling competitions, making this his fourth consecutive ITT victory.
In the Elite Women's ITT, which was held yesterday, South Africa's Ashley Moolman Pasio won gold, while Eritrea's Wahazit Kidane won silver and Nambia's Vera Adrian won bronze.
