Eritrean Cycling Team to Participate in Tour of Gabon

Fresh off their fourth consecutive African Continental Championship (ACC) win in Egypt, the Eritrean National Cycling Team is going to participate in Tour of Gabon (La Tropicale Amissa Bongo) from 13-19 January.

The Eritrean team will feature some of its up-and-coming stars like Tesfom Okubamariam, who recently won gold in the ACC Road Race match, and Meron Teshome, who helped Eritrea secure gold in the Team Time Trials of the same tournament.

Despite the Eritrean team not featuring some of its more notable stars like Danial Teklehaimanot, Natnael Berhane, and Frekalsi Debesay, they are still the favorites to win Tour of Gabon, observers have noted.
