20 Eritrean Women and Children Evacuated from Bentiu
The Eritrean embassy in South Sudan is taking care of 20 Eritrean women and children, after relocating them from Bentiu to Juba, an official said.
South Sudanese officials said they are are preparing to launch an attack to recapture Bentiu, after rebel forces who back the nation's former vice president, Riek Machar, took the Unity state capital over the weekend.
"The SPLA forces are in the western part of the state and the SPLA is reorganizing. Definitely they will launch an attack on Bentiu any time," army spokesman Philip Aguer said.
Since the start of the conflict in mid-December, embassy officials said one Eritrean has been killed and two others were wounded, and that they are treating the injured.
