The following pictures are concept models and blueprints of how some of Eritrea's future construction projects may look like. These images below, which are still images taken from Eri-TV, are currently being passed around by the government of Eritrea, as likely future development projects for the cities of Asmara, Keren, Massawa and Assab. These blueprint concepts show a wide diversity of skyscrapers, tourist resorts and 5 star hotels.
It must be noted that the government of Eritrea is in talks with a Qatari construction firm of EDESSA to build a new
5-star hotel building in Asmara. In addition to this, EDESSA construction company has been awarded to
restore Massawa Island's historic buildings and modernize its facilities.

ReplyDeleteI hope the engineers are thinking about earthquake potential when they building this beautiful buildings. History tells us our port city of Massawa was destroyed in 1929 earthquake and the Red Sea is in active fault line beneath it. We know we can't stop mother nature but we can work to minimize the damage.
