New Construction on the Dahlak Islands
A new 48 million dollar construction project is nearing completion on the Dahlak Kibir. When completed, the project will include two high luxury 850m2 villas and 50 modern villas. Since this construction project is in a remote island with scarce drinking water, the project will also include Eritrea's first desalination plant (which turns salty sea water into fresh drinking water), a wastewater treatment plant and a full power plant to operate the entire facilities.
