Eritrean Olympian Athlete Zerisenay Tadese smashed two world records at the 20th edition of the Lisbon World Half Marathon 2010.
The 28 year old Tadese took down Sammy Wanjiru's half marathon world record by running a 58:23 for the 13.1 course and winning by over two minutes.
He ran the 21,090 meters in 58 minutes and 23 seconds, trimming the world's best mark by 10 seconds. The former world record holder was Samuel Wanjiru of Kenya.
His fast-breaking 4:27 per mile pace also earned Tadese the 20km world record in 55:21, a mark previously held by Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia who had a rough day at the NYC Half Marathon on Sunday.
